BergBuchBrig

Over the last 25 years, the international fair for mountain books has taken place in the city of Trento in Italy, in the context of the “TrentoFilmFestival”. This year, exhibited more than 1300 new books that were published in 30 countries in 2009, as well as in the first months of 2010.

Montagnalibri is an itinerant exhibition that travels to four Italian cities. For the fith time, the books are to be presented outside Italy – in Switzerland. A joint effort of the Médiathèque Valaisanne(media library of the canton Valais) and the city of Brig-Glis made it possible to organise BergBuchBrig. This exhibition will take place in Brig from 3rd to 7th November in Brig.

The heart of BergBuchBrig is provided by books from , enriched by the latest publications of 2009. A special exhibition, a show of films, public readings as well as lectures round up BergBuchBrig.

Publishers can take part in the exhibition by sending two copies of their recent publications to the following address: BergBuchBrig, Mediathek Wallis, Schlossstrasse, CH-3900 Brig (until 15 October 2010). All books will be then integrated into the exhibition Montagnalibri 2011.
